I just finished taking your Reiki 1 and 2 classes. Wow, from a skeptic to knower! I’m excited to later take the Masters class; wanted to share this with you. I have to say, I'm already having some pretty interesting observations....over the last few days I have noticed a tingling in my hands when I am sending Reiki, and it has been getting stronger the more I do it. I thought that was a pretty good confirmation for me that something was actually happening! My energy level has also been higher than normal - I haven't had any caffeine for a week and haven't felt the need to have it at all. I actually have motivated myself to get up a little earlier in the mornings to try doing 30 min of Reiki before I get up and start my day and I have found the last couple days at work to be "easier" than normal...not that there weren't challenges to work through, but the day overall has seemed smoother and it has been easier to find solutions to the problems that pop up. ~ Maria, Ann Arbor "I took my nearly 16-year-old Norwich Terrier to John for a reiki session a few months ago. She has a spinal tumor that affects the way she walks and has caused lameness in her left rear leg. She hadn’t been diagnosed before her first reiki session, but she did show some improvement in her energy and range of motion. She had never experienced energy healing before and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but since my dog seems to like everyone and is generally calm, she went right over to John and lay down next to him while he worked on her energy field.
The second time I took her to John was after Gypsy’s spinal tumor diagnosis, and I knew reiki would help her feel better as the tumor was inoperable and there was little her vet could do for her other than give her medication. She wasn’t in pain, as far as we could tell, but she seemed depressed and had been sleeping most of the day and only eating about half her food. A 6-hour nap was becoming her “norm.” We were worried about her. At her second reiki session, John decided to try using the crystal bowls. Right away, Gypsy went over to John, laid down and fell into a deep sleep as he started playing the bowls. She seemed to enjoy her second session and I am thrilled to report her energy has increased tremendously! The past few weeks, Gypsy has been awake most of the day—which we haven’t experienced in YEARS!! And she’s eating ALL her food and asking for more before bedtime. Plus, she is also sleeping better at night. Since being diagnosed with Cushing’s disease last August, she has been getting up almost every night at least once to go out. Now she sleeps through the night EVERY night! I am so happy for my sweet Gypsy! She doesn’t seem depressed any more and is getting more attention from me and my kids since she is awake most of the day now. She still has trouble walking, but we’ve been taking her out in her stroller more and she’s happy to be able to still go for walks with us. “This may sound over the top. But John and Julia helped me find my dog who was taken to be breed in Tennessee. The breeder was building a fence and my dog got out and was missing for 24 hours. John and Julia went into action doing distance reiki and found my dog near a cave and rock wall. My husband and I went down to Tennessee and still couldn’t find her. They both said she was now with another dog and safe. Eventually we went back home and they both said they see her meeting a man and she will be back with us. Three days later a man found her on a hike and she is now home. Some would call this being psychic. John and Julia just expressed doing distance reiki connected her to be guided to this man and back to us. One thing I haven’t mentioned. I also took reiki classes from John as did my husband. Not to keep this too long; those classes saved our marriage. Too personal to share. Seriously you have to take reiki classes from John and Julia; your life will finally be yours! I’m not kidding. During the course of a full year, January 2019 - February 2020, I completed the Reiki Master Teacher's Certification Program with John. He supported, challenged and motivated me throughout the uphill climbs and downhill treks of my growth and self discovery. I was only going to take reiki one from you. My friend said she did from you years ago and was benefiting greatly. So I decided to call you, you called me right back, which is a rarity today. In July 2016, my Mum kept having recurrent episodes of mouth thrush and her doctor was at a loss why it was happening. Her demeanor changed from being upbeat person to someone who lost the will to live; she would not eat and lost of weight because of the discomfort in her mouth. So it was very worrying. Her doctor could not determine the cause of the recurrent thrush and hypersensitivity, so he referred her to a specialist consultant. In the meantime, John performed two sessions of Reiki and suddenly, about a week after, my Mum bounced back to life; eating well again and her upbeat demeanor returned and what's more, to date she remains well! Mum went on to see the specialist consultant, but he could not find anything wrong with her mouth and discharged her with a clean bill of health! I had been doing some energy work and had learned from different things form a number of people. I knew that i wanted to help people with energy and that it was something i needed to learn more about. I was at a point where i was going to give up. I had just finished taking a couple of classes from another instructor who seemed more interested in figuring out what my abilities are and making a list of them, instead of helping me open them up so i could confidently use them. While John is interested in knowing what your abilities are, which is important for your instructor to know, he does not ignore the opening of your gifts and helping you learn to use them. John's class was particularly helpful for me because he approached teaching Reiki from view point i could relate to. I know other people who have taken his classes and he taught each person by the style of learning they could absorb the information best. My classmate and i needed to have a more relaxed and chatty approach to our classes where we could talk about what we were doing in a jovial manner. John provided us that sort of environment and still kept us on track to learn what we needed most. Another friend who took his classes needed a more structured approach, where it is more serious and focused on the more technical side. John provided them with an environment that was more serious and structured. While he is very professional about his work and abilities he is also able to put you at ease so you gain the most from his classes. He also makes himself available if you have any questions of any sort during your time in his classes, which can be helpful if you run into some sort of a snag in your growth. John uses crystal singing bowls during his classes to help his students clear their energy and bring about desired growth for their lives and practice of Reiki. He also teaches the use of crystal singing bowls which i have not taken, though i am sure this class is as good as his Reiki class. The bottom line is, John is an excellent instructor and if you want to learn Reiki to expand your life or to apply this resource to your calling as a health care practitioner he will be able to open that door for you."
